snor-oh · macOS companion

Never lose what you copy. And keep good company while you work.

snor-oh lives quietly in your menu bar. It saves everything you copy, screenshot, or drag in — sorted into shelves you can find later. And it gives you a small pixel pet that keeps an eye on your work, so the Mac feels a little less lonely.

01 · the shelf

Everything you copy, in one place.

Stop losing what you copied

Text, images, screenshots, files you dragged in — it all lands on labeled shelves so you can grab it back hours or days later. Switch shelves with a keystroke.

Read text out of any image

Pull text out of a screenshot, translate any clipping into another language. Works without an internet connection. Nothing you copy ever leaves your Mac.

Paste from your history

Press ⌘⇧V to see what you copied recently — text, images, links — and pick the one you want. It pastes straight into the app you're working in.

Knows what you copied

A hex code shows up as a color swatch. Code shows the language. Markdown previews. JSON, mermaid charts, emails, phone numbers — each one shown the way you'd actually want to read it.

A shelf per project

Working on three projects at once? Each one gets its own shelf automatically — no menus, no picking. What you copy in a project stays with that project.

Always there, never in the way

Snap your shelf to the edge of any screen. It hugs the corner as a thin strip and only opens up when you reach for it.

02 · the buddy

A small pet that watches you work.

See every terminal at a glance

All your open terminals in one tidy list, grouped by project. You can tell at a glance what's running, what's waiting, and which one needs you next.

Plays nicely with Claude Code

When Claude is working, your buddy reacts — little speech bubbles, status changes, small expressions. Set up once on first launch and forget it's there.

Answer prompts from the menu bar

When Claude needs a yes-or-no, it pops up on the buddy instead of getting buried in a terminal you weren't looking at. Mute the noisy tools, hush everything for a while, and any secrets are hidden automatically.

A summary when you come back

Step away for a coffee. When you sit down again, the buddy shows you what changed in each project while you were gone — so you don't have to remember where you left off.

Tucks itself out of the way

Drag the buddy to the edge of a screen and it shrinks into a thin strip. When you want it back, drag it inward — it returns to full size.

Bring your own pet

Drop in any sprite sheet PNG — or a Codex Pet zip from codex-pets.net — and the app figures out the frames for you. Save your own as a single file and share it with friends, or load one they sent you.

lives in your menu bar

Drop the .dmg in Applications and you're running.

A short setup walks you through everything on first launch. Skip what you don't want — the shelf and the buddy can be turned on or off independently, any time.
